Provider Resource Guide
This new and growing guide is a resource for anyone seeking maternity care providers who have endorsed the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services’ (CIMS) Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative (MFCI). By doing so, each provider has stated her/his commitment to provide specialized care for mothers and babies. Mother-friendly care has proven to be more affordable, healthier, and safer than conventional care.
BirthNetwork National (BNN) encourages you to seek providers who support your personal philosophies. We do not endorse or recommend providers, but list those providers who endorse the MFCI and are paid BirthNetwork members. BNN does not guarantee the provider information contained in this guide, nor does BNN check the validity or accuracy of credentials including, but not limited to, certifications, licenses or training of any listed provider. There are variations in the philosophies and practices of providers listed. It is the responsibility of each consumer to verify the credentials of providers, and BNN encourages consumers to interview providers in order to find the care that is right for each individual and family.
